Dan Schwenk, from Bothell, works to get his single bridle kite (a bridle refers to how many attachment points a kite has) airborne on the green at Fort Worden State Park on Saturday. Schwenk is participating in the 25th Annual Fort Worden Kite Makers Conference. This kite, which he titled "Coming and Going" was made by his wife on Friday. The conference attracts about 150 participants and instructors from the United States, Canada, England and Germany.
