The sun sets over Mauna Loa, the largest volcano on our planet. It rises over 4 km above sea level. The volcano covers half the island of Hawaii. Mauno Loa means "Long Mountain" and last erupted in 1984. In the center of the picture steam can be seen coming out of one of the many steam vents near the Kilauea volcano, home of Pele, the Hawaiian Goddess of Fire.
